June 20, 2023

Dear ParTNers Health & Wellness Center Patient:

Benefits Administration and Connectus Health have some sad and disappointing news to share. After nearly nine years of providing quality health care to state employees, the ParTNers Health & Wellness Center will close Dec. 21, 2023.

We know you will have questions, and we will try to address as many of those as we can in this letter. ParTNers Center and BA staff are also available to help you during this transition.

Several events led Finance & Administration and BA to make the difficult decision to close the ParTNers Center. The biggest factor was the shift from many employees working downtown to working from home, greatly reducing the number of employees using the ParTNers Center. As a result, BA has decided to close the ParTNers Center once the contract with Connectus Health ends this year.

What does this mean for you?

Your health is important to every member of the ParTNers Center team. Here are some important notes to help make your care transition as smooth as possible:

  • You can continue to receive care at the ParTNers Center through Dec. 21, 2023.

  • If the ParTNers Center serves as your primary care provider or helps you with chronic condition management or weight management, you may be able to continue seeing David Flecksteiner, FNP, or Cathy Spencer, FNP, at other Connectus Health locations (see below). Alternatively, Dave or Cathy can help you find a new PCP and transition your care plan and medical records to a provider of your choice.

  • If you use the ParTNers Center for allergy shots, Ebony Buford can work with you to transfer your serum and shot records back to your current allergist or help find you a new one.

  • If you need a copy of your medical records sent to you or to a health care provider, Isi Aligbe can assist you.

  • Our final free flu shot clinic will be October 3 in the Tennessee Tower. We will send details via email in the coming months.

We know you have built relationships with the ParTNers Center staff, and we have too. Dave, Cathy, Isi and Ebony have provided all of us with high-quality, loving health care, and we will miss them greatly. If you have a moment, please wish them well this summer or fall. It is likely they will continue providing care through Connectus Health’s community clinics at their Vine Hill and Priest Lake locations (connectus.org).

It has been an honor and a privilege to care for you. While the ParTNers Center isn’t closing tomorrow and December seems like a long way away, we will use the next six months to assist you in your health care transition, starting with a Lunch & Learn on July 27. During this virtual event, we will provide more information about the closing and answer your questions. Watch your email for details. In the meantime, if we can help you with anything, just call 615.741.1709.

Sincerely,

Andrea Dowdy, D.C., Director of Clinical Services
